Enchanted April

When married British women Rose Arbuthnot (Miranda Richardson) and Lottie Wilkins (Josie Lawrence) decide to take a break from their respective spouses, they stay at a castle in Italy for a quiet holiday. Joining the ladies is Caroline Dester (Polly Walker), a young socialite, and Mrs. Fisher (Joan Plowright), an older aristocrat. Liberated from their daily routines, the four women ease into life in rural Italy, and each finds herself transformed by the experience.

Breakheart Pass

When diphtheria breaks out at Fort Humboldt, a train is dispatched with medical supplies and relief troops. As the train passes through the mountains, soldiers go missing, telegraph lines are cut and it's discovered that there is no epidemic. There's a conspiracy afoot, and it's up to Deakin, actually a federal agent, to expose it.

When government scientist Xavier Fitch (Ben Kingsley) intercepts a space transmission containing the genetic sequence for an alien life form, he uses it to produce "Sil" (Natasha Henstridge) -- a gorgeous alien-human hybrid. As Fitch's team grows concerned at her rapid rate of growth, Sil wrecks the laboratory and begins a violent quest for a suitable male human to impregnate her. The U.S. government dispatches top assassin Preston Lennox (Michael Madsen) and a team of experts to stop her.

Having just returned from a mission to Mars, Commander Ross (Justin Lazard) isn't exactly himself. He's slowly becoming a terrifying alien entity with one goal -- to procreate with human women! When countless women suffer gruesome deaths after bearing half-alien offspring, scientist Laura Baker (Marg Helgenberger) and hired assassin Press Lennox (Michael Madsen) use Eve (Natasha Henstridge), a more tempered alien clone, to find Ross and his brood. Before long Eve escapes to mate with Ross.

LaRoy

A depressed man plans to kill himself, but his plans suddenly change when a stranger mistakes him for a low-rent hit man. Desperate to earn a little respect, he decides to play the part of a hired gun. However, when the supposedly simple plan begins to unravel, he recruits a private investigator to help him escape from the actual killer and make it out alive.

Gorky Park

Soviet detective Arkady Renko (William Hurt) uncovers a vast network of deceit and intrigue when he investigates a triple murder that took place in Gorky Park, a Moscow amusement park. As Renko tries to make progress on the case, it becomes dangerously apparent that the KGB doesn't want this homicide to be solved. He eventually meets American Jack Osborne (Lee Marvin), who offers some clues, but Renko soon realizes that Osborne may be just as dangerous as the trailing KGB operatives.

Naval Reservist pilot Lt. Harry Brubaker (William Holden) is stationed on an aircraft carrier in the Sea of Japan during the Korean War.
