After decades of warfare between the Apaches and the U.S. military, a peace agreement is finally made. A few years later, the Apaches undergo a regime change, and the new chief, Taza (Rock Hudson), is determined to maintain positive relations between his people and the American cavalrymen. Four Faces West
When his father's ranch faces foreclosure, cowboy Ross McEwen (Joel McCrea) sets out to rob a bank. Fortunately for McEwen, nurse Fay Hollister (Frances Dee) is on board to save his life. However, McEwen is far from free and clear, since Sheriff Pat Garrett (Charles Bickford) is hot on his trail. With a reward on his head, McEwen must be careful whom he trusts.

The Gunfight at Dodge City
Gambler and gunman Bat Masterson (Joel McCrea) rides into Dodge City, Kan., to visit his straight-arrow brother, Ed (Harry Lauter), who is hoping to defeat crooked sheriff Jim Regan (Don Haggerty) in an upcoming election. Bat purchases and renovates a rundown saloon, attracting the notice of Regan's henchmen. A shooting during the saloon's opening-night celebration causes Bat to pursue his own political vendetta against Regan and attempt to clean up the town's corruption once and for all.

After his cavalry company is decimated by an Apache attack, Vinson (Joel McCrea) takes charge and tries to lead his remaining men to safety. Unfortunately, his pathological hatred of Native Americans causes him to commit rash acts that put his troops in jeopardy. The enlisted men, especially the rebellious McGurney (Forrest Tucker), question Vinson's leadership and even his morality, but the soldiers must stick together if they wish to make it through Apache lands.

Outlaw Wes McQueen (Joel McCrea) escapes from jail and travels to a meeting with his old partner-in-crime Dave Rickard (Basil Ruysdael). En route, McQueen dispatches a gang of bandits who try to rob the stagecoach and, in the process, wins the attentions of a young woman (Dorothy Malone) with whom he'd like to settle down. Convinced by Rickard to do one last heist, he finds out that his fellow henchmen are not to be trusted and the woman he truly loves is an ex-saloon girl (Virginia Mayo).
Ramrod
Ambitious Connie Dickason (Veronica Lake), daughter of wealthy rancher Ben Dickason (Charlie Ruggles), loses her sheep rancher beau when he is unable to stand up to bullying Frank Ivey (Preston Foster), a cattle baron. Adding the sheep ranch to the Dickason property, Connie hires amiable but tough overseer Dave Nash (Joel McCrea) -- but no sooner has he arrived when Ivey attacks and burns Connie's ranch. The resulting range war causes several deaths and exposes Connie's own ruthless streak.
