Great Day in the Morning
In Denver before the outbreak of the Civil War, North Carolina native Owen Pentecost (Robert Stack) tricks saloon owner Jumbo Means (Raymond Burr) into losing everything he owns -- including some valuable mining claims -- in a card game. As headstrong dressmaker Ann (Virginia Mayo) and bartender Boston (Ruth Roman) spar over Owen's affections, his fellow Southerners begin assembling their gold to fund the Confederate Army, as the town's Northerners form their own militia and prepare for war.
Pony Soldier
An officer with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Duncan MacDonald (Tyrone Power), must intercept a hunting party of Cree Native Americans who have left their reservation to track buffalo in the Montana region. MacDonald, along with his guide, Natayo Smith (Thomas Gomez), meets up with the Native Americans, trying to convince them to return to the reservation. But Chief Konah complicates matters when he attacks a wagon train and takes two hostages.

After many years away, Deputy Marshal Curt Darrow (John Bromfield) comes back to a small frontier town to investigate the disappearance and possible murder of Sylvia Melbourne (Coleen Gray), a powerful saloon owner. Many wanted Sylvia dead, and her foster father, Roger (Kent Taylor), and her quick-draw, philandering boyfriend, Tony (Jim Davis), are the main suspects. Curt, who's become obsessed with the dead woman, arrests Tony. But the mystery only thickens when Sylvia returns.

Dejected by the defeat of the Confederacy, O'Meara (Rod Steiger) heads west toward Sioux territory. After surviving a test called the "Run of the Arrow," he is accepted as one of the Oglala Sioux people and marries Yellow Moccasin (Sara Montiel). The couple create a family together and live contentedly until Capt. Clark (Brian Keith) arrives with a group of cavalry, hoping to build a fort nearby. O'Meara acts as a scout for the troops until their wary peace is shattered.

In spite of this considerable point of contention, the siblings must work together when they find that other family members have been abducted, along with Dal's girlfriend, Kate (Katharine Ross). Joined by their trouble-making uncle "Black Jack" (Ben Johnson), Mac and Dal relentlessly pursue the criminals to rescue their relatives.
