Lake Life

"Lake Life"

Avid fishermen Nate and Justin Herman know a thing or two about having a "lake life." The countless hours spent on various bodies of water has not only nurtured an avocation but developed into a vocation. Nate and Justin travel the country building one-of-a-kind waterfront creations in typically remote locations. This DIY series documents their handiwork -- like a double-decker dock with a water slide, a floating golf oasis, deluxe teepees, and a 10,000-pound volcano-themed fishing cabin -- while also going behind-the-scenes to provide glimpses of family adventures of the entire Herman clan.

Tiny Paradise

"Tiny Paradise"

Drawn to the prospect of financial freedom, a simpler lifestyle, and limiting one's environmental footprint, more buyers are opting to downsize -- in some cases, to spaces no larger than 400 square feet. On this series, the homes have another unique quality: they are constructed to feature enviable views. Set in such idyllic locations as Tulum, Mexico; Maui, Hawaii; and Telluride, Colo., the little houses are tricked-out with reflection pools, greenhouses, indoor/outdoor kitchens, lots of multifunctional furniture and, of course, observation decks to soak in the sunsets. The featured builds include those by professional contractors as well as DIYers.

Listed Sisters

"Listed Sisters"

Diverse architectural styles in vibrant Nashville present the canvas for sisters Alana and Lex LeBlanc, who help clients transform homes they've outgrown into hot properties that can fetch top dollar. "Everyone dreams of finding that perfect place to call home," Alana says. "But not everyone can afford their dream home until they've sold a house that no longer suits their needs." The ladies compare neighborhood home prices and craft the best resale plan for the homeowner's current property. Then, with a goal of selling high and getting clients the dollars they need to purchase their new homes, the sisters and their crew tackle whole home renovation projects that include moving walls, adding fresh paint and accessorizing.

Junk Gypsies

Rerun Air Date: November 18, 2024

Texas designers Amie Sikes and Jolie Sikes-Smith are known to their social-media followers as Junk Gypsies. The sisters, who describe their design approach as raucous, rowdy and rebellious, bring their self-professed "hippie flair and Southern-fried cowgirl pride" to TV in this series in which the pair engages in spirited searches for roadside treasures to create the quintessential Junk Gypsies look. So what is the Junk Gypsies look? An elegant mix of colorful flea market finds and funky vintage pieces. The sisters' client list includes country music stars and Hollywood actors, but in this series, they help ordinary homeowners who need their uninspired spaces transformed into something more.

Southern Fried Everything

"Southern Fried Everything"

When people say any food is better if it's fried, they really mean any food. While french fries and fried chicken are among the most popular foods that are prepared using that cooking method, they're just the tip of the iceberg for the people featured on this series. The show includes such oily treats as deep-fried Twinkies, bologna, candy bars and even butter -- staples at carnivals and fairs across America -- while showing viewers where and why Americans fry everything. And it's all done without raising your cholesterol.

RV Nation

"RV Nation"

As with most things, not all recreational vehicles, or RVs, are created equal. Some are modest, no-frills abodes that fulfill their basic function of providing housing for the owners. Others are elaborate, tricked-out vehicles that take the concept of the RV to a whole new level. "RV Nation" takes viewers behind the scenes of the process involved in designing and constructing some of the biggest and most detailed trailers available on the market. The series showcases how companies get the unique motor homes ready for the road.

With stops in a variety of cities in the U.S. and Canada, Andino visits three eateries in each, looking for their most popular after-hours dishes, from specialty grilled cheese sandwiches to steak tacos and a sandwich called Buffy the Mac Slayer, which is a Buffalo chicken sandwich topped with gooey macaroni and cheese. In addition to sampling their wares, Andino talks to the chefs about their signature dishes. He also chats with the venues' late-night patrons for their take on the fare.

Moving Country

"Moving Country"

Living in the city presents a significantly different lifestyle than living in a country setting. This series follows families making the move from an urban location to a rural one, whether they're going from Miami to Montana or Los Angeles to Louisville. Viewers go along for the entire process, from searching for a new home to settling in and adjusting to the more laid-back lifestyle. Whether the families are returning to their roots or just want a change of pace, they're going from the rush of city life to the calm of the country.

Living Countryfied

"Living Countryfied"

Festivals, fairs, tailgating, cook-offs and unusual competitions are staples of life for many Americans. This series showcases those slices of Americana, highlighting the best of family values from the heartland. Whether it's a wife-carrying competition in Maine, a rattlesnake roundup and cook-off in Texas (where else?) or fly-fishing in Yellowstone, "Living Countryfied" takes viewers to locations across the U.S. to experience things that they have likely never seen. Each episode is built around a particular theme, such as festivals and outdoors.

Food: Fact or Fiction?

"Food: Fact or Fiction?"

Was pizza really invented in Italy? Does chicken soup actually help cure the common cold? Those are some of the food myths that are explored on this series that tries to separate fact from fiction. Actor Michael McKean examines commonly held beliefs about food -- including popular food remedies and romantic recipes and aphrodisiacs -- to see which ones have some validity and which can be completely debunked. Themed episodes include one that takes a look at breakfast -- is it really the most important meal of the day? -- and another that travels around the food globe to see where popular international dishes were really created.

Highway Cowboys

"Highway Cowboys"

There's lots of grassland in Texas where cattle can safely roam, but increasingly, livestock finds its way to highways and other roads in the Lone Star State, which poses safety risks not only to the animals but also to drivers on those roads. So authorities are bringing in experts -- referred to as highway cowboys -- whose job it is to round up loose stock and bring them back to the safety of state farmlands. It's an important, high-stakes occupation, but it's also one of the country's dirtiest jobs.

This time he travels to some of the most remote and exotic places on the planet, working with a global network of animal advocates requesting his expertise to give care to an incredibly diverse range of species. From operating on endangered rhinos in Africa, saving sick wombats in Tasmania, freeing fur seals trapped in fishing line on Australia's Phillip Island, rescuing dogs from the meat trade in Southeast Asia, and helping orphaned sloths in Costa Rica, there is no animal too big or too small that Dr. Chris won't help. Each episode concludes with a follow-up several weeks later to check the progress of the animals he treated.
