When the wealthy and ambitious Charles Bishop Weyland (Lance Henriksen) funds an expedition to Antarctica, he hopes to find a mysterious source of heat that has been detected. Erasmus hopes to use the money he makes to fly to Paris and meet Brigitte Bardot, with whom he is infatuated.

A police shootout leaves four thieves dead during an explosive armed robbery attempt in Chicago.
