The Hunters

During the Korean War, crusty veteran fighter pilot "Iceman" Saville (Robert Mitchum) takes command of a flight of F-86 Sabre jets. Although Saville is eager to fly the military's new plane, the pilots under his command sap his enthusiasm. On the one hand he must contend with the brash young Ed Pell (Robert Wagner), while on the other he must boost the confidence of nervous Carl Abbott (Lee Philips). The three men bond in the hunt for notorious North Korean ace "Casey Jones" (Leon Lontoc).

My Darling Clementine

In the middle of a long cattle drive, Wyatt Earp (Henry Fonda) and his brothers stop off for a night in the town of Tombstone. The next morning they find their cattle stolen, and one of the brothers is dead. Earp suspects the Clanton family, owners of the O.K. Corral, but wants his revenge to be legal. He becomes sheriff of Tombstone and forges a rough peace with an alcoholic gambler, Doc Holiday (Victor Mature). Earp also takes a liking to Holiday's former girlfriend, Clementine (Cathy Downs).

Rio Conchos

When a shipment of repeating rifles is stolen from the U.S. Cavalry, Capt. Haven (Stuart Whitman) and Sgt. Franklyn are sent to recover them and enlist the aid of an alcoholic former confederate and Indian hater, James Lassiter (Richard Boone) and a Mexican murderer, Rodriguez (Tony Franciosa). Lassiter, who owns one of the rifles, says it came from his embittered former commander Col. Pardee, while an Apache woman informant reveals that Pardee intends to sell the stolen arms to her people.

Kid Blue

Outlaw Kid Blue (Dennis Hopper) decides to give up robbing trains and go straight. Moving to the small town of Dime Box, Texas, under the name of Bickford Warner, he takes any honest work he can find. With the help of a preacher (Peter Boyle) and Reese Ford (Warren Oates), a friend he makes at the local factory, it seems that Bickford may finally be turning his life around. But for Bickford, hard work just may be too hard, especially when there are plenty of trains to rob.

Emperor of the North

A legendary hobo, A No.1 (Lee Marvin) is renowned for his expertise in riding the rails for free, but he meets his match with Shack (Ernest Borgnine), a fierce railroad conductor who mercilessly kicks stowaways off of his train. Joined by brash young hobo Cigaret (Keith Carradine), A No.1 manages to elude Shack but issues a challenge to the heavily armed conductor, announcing that he will ride the train for its entire route, leading to a violent showdown between the two strong-willed men.

Junior Jackson (Jeff Bridges) is a Southern boy with a penchant for driving too fast along his native North Carolina backroads. But when his father, Elroy (Art Lund), is jailed for moonshining, Junior decides to go pro, if only to be able to buy Elroy a few prison privileges. With the help of his brother, Wayne (Gary Busey), he slowly climbs the ranks of the various racing circuits. Often at odds with corporate sponsors, Jackson nevertheless becomes one of the first celebrities of NASCAR.
