A Dog's Way Home
As a puppy, Bella finds her way into the arms of Lucas, a young man who gives her a good home. When Bella becomes separated from Lucas, she soon finds herself on an epic 400-mile journey to reunite with her beloved owner. Along the way, the lost but spirited dog touches the lives of an orphaned mountain lion, a down-on-his-luck veteran and some friendly strangers who happen to cross her path.
Emperor of the North
A legendary hobo, A No.1 (Lee Marvin) is renowned for his expertise in riding the rails for free, but he meets his match with Shack (Ernest Borgnine), a fierce railroad conductor who mercilessly kicks stowaways off of his train. Joined by brash young hobo Cigaret (Keith Carradine), A No.1 manages to elude Shack but issues a challenge to the heavily armed conductor, announcing that he will ride the train for its entire route, leading to a violent showdown between the two strong-willed men.
Heaven With a Barbed Wire Fence
Joe (Glenn Ford), a clerk in New York City, hits the road to claim the land he bought in Arizona. But having spent all of his savings on the land, he must hitchhike. He meets a drifter named Tony (Nicholas Conte) and then Spanish refugee Anita (Jean Rogers). Together the three run into the "Professor" (Raymond Walburn), an erudite hobo. The quartet travel across the country, getting into scrapes, avoiding the police and encountering others hit hard by the Great Depression.
My Darling Clementine
In the middle of a long cattle drive, Wyatt Earp (Henry Fonda) and his brothers stop off for a night in the town of Tombstone. The next morning they find their cattle stolen, and one of the brothers is dead. Earp suspects the Clanton family, owners of the O.K. Corral, but wants his revenge to be legal. He becomes sheriff of Tombstone and forges a rough peace with an alcoholic gambler, Doc Holiday (Victor Mature). Earp also takes a liking to Holiday's former girlfriend, Clementine (Cathy Downs).
Kid Blue
Outlaw Kid Blue (Dennis Hopper) decides to give up robbing trains and go straight. Moving to the small town of Dime Box, Texas, under the name of Bickford Warner, he takes any honest work he can find. With the help of a preacher (Peter Boyle) and Reese Ford (Warren Oates), a friend he makes at the local factory, it seems that Bickford may finally be turning his life around. But for Bickford, hard work just may be too hard, especially when there are plenty of trains to rob.
The Sheriff of Fractured Jaw
During the 1880s, Englishman Jonathan Tibbs (Kenneth More) journeys to the American West to make a fortune selling firearms. However, when he stops a Native American ambush using his gentlemanly manners, he becomes a hero to the people of the town of Fractured Jaw and is made sheriff. In over his head, Jonathan attempts to bring justice to the anarchic town by befriending a local Sioux tribe. He also tries to win over Kate (Jayne Mansfield), a feisty bartender.
Thunderhead: Son of Flicka
Flicka, the beloved horse of young Ken McLaughlin (Roddy McDowall), has given birth to a son. But instead of taking after the calm and collected Flicka, the colt, which Ken names Thunderhead, takes after his wild albino father. Despite Thunderhead's wild streak and rebellious spirit, Ken and his father, Rob (Preston Foster) try to break the wild stallion and make it into a prized racing horse. But Thunderhead's wild nature may by too much for either of them to tame.
Call of the Wild
This early adaptation of the classic Jack London novel follows Jack Thornton (Clark Gable) as he travels across Alaska during the Klondike Gold Rush. When he finds another Yukon-bound man, who treats his sled dogs cruelly, Jack purchases a dog named Buck, who leads the way toward the gold. But Jack reconsiders his journey when he finds Claire Blake (Loretta Young), a woman recently abandoned by her husband in the Alaskan wilderness, and the couple develops a romance.
