When archaeologist Robert Burton (William Lundigan) reports his discovery of an ancient tribe in Mexico, he is disappointed that his newspaper sends female photographer Kathryn Williams (Peggie Castle) to cover it, since he thinks this will be an arduous journey. Burton needs a guide to get through the jungle, and Kathryn manages to convince landowner Juan Cervantes (Armando Silvestre), who has developed feelings for her, to take them. However, jealousy and danger await them on their trek.

Together, Roy and Betty set out to prove her father was wrongly accused and track down the real criminal.
