Riders of the Whistling Skull
When young Betty Marsh (Mary Russell) learns that her archaeologist father is missing, she calls upon cowboy heroes the Three Mesquiteers -- Stony Brooke (Bob Livingston), Tucson Smith (Ray Corrigan) and Lullaby Joslin (Max Terhune) -- to rescue the man. This leads the trio to a treasure map and, ultimately, to a treacherous place called the Whistling Skull: a rock formation occupied by a Native American cult, mummies and a madman who has been pulling the strings all along.
The Man Behind the Gun
An Army major (Randolph Scott) goes undercover to stop a plot to make Southern California a separate state.
The Doolins of Oklahoma
Old West outlaw Bill Doolin (Randolph Scott) marries a deacon's wife, but his gang will not leave him alone.
All That Heaven Allows
Predicated on a May-December romance. The difference here is that the woman, attractive widow Cary Scott (Jane Wyman), is considerably older than the man, handsome gardener-landscaper Ron Kirby (Rock Hudson). Throwing conventional behavior to the winds and facing social ostracism, Cary pursues her romance with Ron, who is unjustly perceived as a fortune-hunter by Cary's friends and family -- especially her priggish brother Ned (William Reynolds).
Written on the Wind
Mitch Wayne (Rock Hudson) is a geologist working for the Hadleys, an oil-rich Texas family. While the patriarch, Jared (Robert Keith), works hard to establish the family business, his irresponsible son, Kyle (Robert Stack), is an alcoholic playboy, and his daughter, Marylee (Dorothy Malone), is the town tramp. Mitch harbors a secret love for Kyle's unsatisfied wife, Lucy (Lauren Bacall) -- a fact that leaves him exposed when the jealous Marylee accuses him of murder.
Between Midnight and Dawn
Two patrolmen (Mark Stevens, Edmond O'Brien) shoot it out with a gangster, ending their rivalry for a woman (Gale Storm).
The World Gone Mad
A crooked financier and his henchmen frame the district attorney who is investigating their fradulent operation.
Angel on My Shoulder
When a gangster, Eddie Kagle, is murdered by his childhood friend and business partner, Smiley Williams, he's sent to hell. There he meets Nick, who tries to get him to return to the living to take over the body of Judge Frederick Parker (also Muni). Kagle agrees, enticed by the prospect of seeking revenge on Smiley. But Kagel's attempts to tarnish Parker's reputation backfire, and when he finally confronts Smiley, his frustration has peaked.
