The Trouble With Angels

Mary (Hayley Mills) and her friend, Rachel (June Harding), are new students at St. Francis Academy, a boarding school run by the iron fist of Mother Superior (Rosalind Russell). The immature teens grow bored and begin playing pranks on both the unsuspecting nuns and their unpleasant classmates, becoming a constant thorn in Mother Superior's side. However, as the years pass, Mary and Rachel slowly mature and begin to see the nuns in a different light.

Two Rode Together

For a fee, hard-drinking Texas marshal Guthrie McCabe (James Stewart) agrees to help Army officer Jim Gary (Richard Widmark) search for a group of whites who were abducted years earlier by Comanche warriors. After rescuing two of the abductees, McCabe and Gary find that the former captives have fully adopted the culture of their American Indian captors and are barely recognizable. Cultures collide as they attempt to return the settlers to their original -- and now long-forgotten -- lives.

The Professionals

Four soldiers of fortune are hired by a wealthy rancher to rescue his beautiful young wife who has been kidnapped by a villainous Mexican bandit. When they finally find her, after fighting their way across deserts and mountains, they discover she is not being held against her will. This causes friction within the band as to whether they should honor their agreement.

Gleason

Jackie Gleason (Brad Garrett) begins his career in vaudeville, hosts a variety show and creates the classic series The Honeymooners.

Abraham Lincoln

The 16th U.S. president (Walter Huston) is portrayed as a lawyer, orator, husband and Civil War commander.

The Jackie Robinson Story

After a successful baseball career in college and as a coach in the military, Jackie Robinson (playing himself) attracts the attention of Major League Baseball's Branch Rickey (Minor Watson). Rickey wants Robinson to play in the minor leagues, believing he can become the first player to break the color barrier and play in the majors. The only catch: He is forbidden from defending himself against racial bigotry. Supported by his wife (Ruby Dee), Robinson is steadfast in his determination to win.

Lightning Range

Over the course of a single day, a U.S. marshal (Buddy Roosevelt) navigates the trails of the Wild West and attempts to enforce the law. The bandit Black Pete (Olin Francis) makes it difficult for him. But the brave marshal forges on, facing violent outlaws, stagecoach holdups, scams, ambushes, arson and robberies. He even assumes the role of the groom in a hasty marriage ceremony for the lovely Dorothy Horton (Patsy Bellamy), who must be married by noon to claim her inheritance.

Abilene Town

In Abilene, Kan., Marshal Dan Mitchell (Randolph Scott) contends with unruly cattlemen and a group of determined homesteaders intending to settle on government land bordering the town. Hoping to rid the town of the farmers, the cowboys set fire to their camp, and a desperado murders a homesteader, but Dan refuses to allow them revenge. Joining a posse under a crooked sheriff, and with the help of singer Rita (Ann Dvorak) and a merchant, Dan forces a peaceful showdown between the factions.
