Come On, Rangers

Roy Rogers (Roy Rogers) is a Texas Ranger, guarding the land with his brother Ken (Lane Chandler) and their fellow Ranger buddies, until Texas gains statehood and the Rangers are shut down to make room for the U.S. Cavalry. Roy soon joins the new group, falls for colonel's daughter Janice (Mary Hart), and tries to move on to a new life. But when a group of outlaws murders Ken, Roy decides to leave his post, gather his old friends and administer frontier justice in a way only the Rangers can.

Cowboy

A successful rancher, Tom Reece (Glenn Ford), forges a business venture with a Mexican landowner (Donald Randolph) but finds himself in a bind after squandering a lot of money at a hotel run by Frank Harris (Jack Lemmon). Frank has strong feelings for the Mexican's daughter (Anna Kashfi), and when he learns that Tom is in a tough spot, he exploits the situation to get closer to his potential paramour. Frank takes to horseback alongside Tom, and both are surprised by the results.

Along Came Jones

Melody Jones (Gary Cooper) is a laid-back cowboy who gets lost on the trail and ends up in the small town of Payneville. Seeing the initials "MJ" on his saddle, the people of Payneville mistake Jones for the treacherous bandit Monte Jarrad (Dan Duryea), and they nearly kill him before he is rescued by Cherry de Longpre (Loretta Young). Grateful for her help, Jones falls for de Cherry, not knowing that she is Jarrad's girl and that she plans on using him to help Jarrad elude capture.

Certain her new love interest is innocent, Laurel stands by Dixon, but as the police continue pressing him, Dixon begins to act increasingly erratically. The blossoming love affair suffers as Laurel begins to wonder if Dixon really might be a killer.
