Wild Rovers

Tired of his job at a ranch owned by Walter Buckman (Karl Malden), Frank Post (Ryan O'Neal) wants to pull a heist, and when his much older coworker, Ross Bodine (William Holden), sees nothing better on the horizon, the cowboys agree to team up for the crime. After filling their pockets with loot from a local bank, Frank and Ross ride toward what they hope is freedom. But the younger Buckmans, Paul (Joe Don Baker) and John (Tom Skerritt), pursue them over the rough land of the Southwest.

Dead Reckoning

War heroes Rip Murdock (Humphrey Bogart) and Johnny Drake (William Prince) are sent to Washington, D.C., by train, but are not told why. During the trip, they learn they're about to receive top honors for their service. Johnny, seemingly terrified by the publicity that awaits him, jumps off the train and later turns up dead. Suspecting foul play, Rip begins digging into his pal's past. He encounters cover-ups, threats to his own life and deadly femme fatale Coral Chandler (Lizabeth Scott).

Kansas City Confidential

A mysterious fellow (Preston Foster) contacts a trio of criminals (Jack Elam, Neville Brand, Lee Van Cleef) to help with a bank heist. The four wear masks and remain strangers to each other, planning to reunite in Mexico to divvy up the loot. Joe Rolfe (John Payne), the man they framed to take the heat, gets his charges dropped, and the police offer him a reward if he can help recover the cash. He agrees, and when one of the thieves meets his end, Rolfe assumes his identity to catch the crooks.

Detour

In New York, piano player Al Roberts (Tom Neal) laments when his singer girlfriend, Sue Harvey (Claudia Drake), leaves for Hollywood, Calif. When Al gets some money, he decides to hitchhike to California to join Sue. In Arizona, Al accepts a ride with Charles Haskell (Edmund MacDonald), but during a storm in a freak accident, Haskell is killed. Frightened, Al assumes Haskell's identity and car, but soon comes upon the mysterious Vera (Ann Savage), who seems to know all about his true identity.

Killer Dill

A mild-mannered lingerie salesman's efforts to please his girlfriend put him in league with underworld henchmen.

Brand of the Devil

Tex Wyatt (Dave "Tex" O'Brien), Jim Steel (Jim Newill) and Panhandle Perkins (Guy Wilkerson) are Texas Rangers working undercover to bust up a cattle rustling ring that leaves cards bearing a devilish pitchfork to announce its presence. While Tex and Jim concentrate on helping and protecting the townspeople, Panhandle adopts a false identity and infiltrates the gang. When the rustlers' crimes escalate to murder, the lawmen must redouble their efforts to bring them down.
