Prosecutors were not done yet in bringing to the witness stand hospital personnel who tried to save Corey Micciolo's life. The registered nurse assigned to him recalls taking him in when he was feeling nauseated and too weak to move. Lindsay Carnevale remembered that the defendant abandoned his own son in the hospital after he died. Apparently, once six-year-old Corey was pronounced deceased in the ER Christopher Gregor immediately left the hospital and fled out of town.

According to the call screener for the State's Child Protection Services the defendant made a call to the their child abuse hotline. After Corey Micciolo lost his life in the hospital, Christopher Gregor skipped town. The officer who arrested him in Tennessee described the time they got him. After Corey's death, police needed to track down Gregor for questions as to what had happened. They utilized software for cell phone extraction to track him down across state lines.

The Jury learned about the emotions of a mother who was in fear of her young child's life. Just weeks before Corey Micciolo died, just after a hospital visit, Breanna Micciolo, had to file an emergency order of protection to get full custody away from Christopher Gregor, Corey's dad. The defendant was initially charged with child neglect, based in part on the treadmill video police reviewed. After his arrest for murder, Gregor rejected the State's plea deal of a 30-year prison sentence.

The Infamous video of the treadmill abuse of young Corey Micciolo was shown in full to the jury. His father, Christopher Gregor, told detectives that he pushed his son hard in the Fitness Center because he was concerned about his weight. Apparently, Corey was getting too fat. Next, what life was like in the last weeks of this six-year-old's life was relayed back to jurors. To do this--prosecutors introduced text messages between Corey's parents, Corey's bruises, and hospital visits.

Cross examination began on Corey Micciolo's mother. It came after the State introduced jurors to the exercise routine they argued lead to Corey's death. Breanna Micciolo admitted on the witness stand that she relapsed on her addiction to methamphetamine twice after Corey was born. She battled with the defendant, Christopher Gregor, to get full custody of her son just before he died. Court order violations became a focus for both sides in this case.

According to Corey Micciolo's mother, she took him to three different hospitals and filed an emergency order for sole custody just days before he was killed. Christopher Gregor's attorney drilled Breanna Micciolo on her ongoing drug abuse and the Facebook page Justice For Corey that she set up. Records indicate that Breanna reached out to the Department of Child Protection over 100 times in phone calls and emails reporting instances of child abuse by Corey's father in an 18-month period.

Corey Micciolo's mother wrapped up her testimony. Jurors learned of the many times that Breanna reached out to the State's children's services over abuses her six-year-old was allegedly enduring at the hands of his father, Christopher Gregor. It was all during the times he was visiting with him. Jurors next listened to testimony from Corey's first grade teacher. She recalled how smart Corey was in her class.

Corey Micciolo's first grade teacher recalled that days before Corey lost his life his demeanor and attention in class changed hinting that there were problems happening at home. Kim Peace recalled sending him to the school nurse for his injuries and discussing his condition with other teachers. Parenting styles would be judged by this jury later in their deliberations. They've learned about how Corey was cared for by an allegedly abusive father and a mother struggling with a drug addiction.

Just days after Gary Farris' remains were found in a burn pile, investigators interviewed all his family members. It was all recorded and played back for all to hear in the courtroom. The second Interview police conducted of the defendant came the very next day after the first interview. She insisted, telling the lead detective that she had more to say about her thoughts on her husband's shooting death.

The second police interview law enforcement conducted of Melody Farris was played back. Jurors heard her playing detective giving investigators clues as to what happened and who may have been responsible for Gary Farris' demise. These jurors had to be asking themselves a key question. Was Melody helping their case or helping her case? The defendant was heard giving the two detectives clues pointing the guilt of her two sons, Chris and Scott, for the murder of her husband, Gary.
