According to the report, this mental health expert saw no evidence of Schizophrenia or a psychotic break at the time the murder.

Dr. Silvia O'Bradovich told the jury that this was her first time to testify in a case that was using an Insanity defense. He said he remembered how upsetting that day was, which made his memory a bit fuzzy. Higgins recalled that Karen Read and her boyfriend never showed up to the house party after they told friends gathered at a local bar that they would. Read's defense was convinced that John O'Keefe was beaten up by men at the Albert family home and then dumped in the snow.

Brian Higgins was a friend of both the defendant and John O'Keefe. He was hanging out with them at a bar just hours before O'Keefe died. The Defense grilled Higgins for removing the SIM card from his cell phone and getting rid of it. They asked him what exactly did he do with his phone weeks after John O'Keefe was pronounced dead.

The long testimony of Brian Higgins wrapped up. He told the jury about his friendship with Karen Read and John O'Keefe, his access to the Canton Police Department, the flirty texts he exchanged with the defendant and how he got rid of the SIM card from his phone.

Emergency room physician, Dr. Justin Rice, told jurors how John O'Keefe lost his life in a blizzard. He claimed that O'Keefe did not have a pulse when he got to the ER and was completely unresponsive. When O'Keefe was rushed to a nearby hospital he was declared deceased. His cause of death was blunt force trauma and hypothermia.

This was all during her grandmother's testimony where she shared details about family life over the years.

He added that as a result of this severe mental health issue, she could not appreciate that what she was doing was wrong. Defendant pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity claiming she had a psychotic break during the attack.

This went against the state's case where prosecutors claimed there was no evidence of a mental health issue when she fatally attacked Brenda Powell. Jurors learned more about what she was allegedly going through, mentally, in the lead up to the fatal stabbing. The Defense wanted the jury to hear from the expert on the stand, a forensic psychologist.

She was the one who called 911 to try to save him. The Defense tried to poke holes in her testimony by asking her a number of accusatory questions asserting that she is covering up what happened to her friend, O'Keefe. McCabe told the jury: I never would have left John O'Keefe out in the cold to die because he was my friend that I loved.

One of those versions was that he was killed when a snowplow hit him. Jennifer McCabe wrapped up her testimony on the stand by expounding for the jury what she and her family went through. She told them that they have experienced constant harassment in person and on social media. She called it a social media witch hunt.

Kerry Roberts testified that the defendant was hysterical and distraught when they were out looking for him. Jurors heard about a mysterious phone call the defendant made to O'Keefe's friend. It was just minutes before he was found in the snow. She told Roberts quote: I'm afraid John might be dead. He might have gotten hit by a plow. He didn't come home last night.

This is similar to what some first responders claimed to have heard. Things got emotional for John O'Keefe's friend on the stand. Kerry Roberts recalled finding him in the snow. He would be pronounced dead later at a nearby hospital.
