He also recalled how his mother, the defendant, was faking her emotions when Gary's corpse was discovered.

Scott pointed out for jurors the fights and suspicious behavior of the defendant leading up and after the homicide.

Investigators needed to paint the full picture on why and how Rosemarie's husband could plan her death, attempt to get away with it, and then flee the country as a fugitive as police zeroed in on him as a prime suspect.

On the stand, was the detective who went all the way to Greece to corroborate Yazeed's location as a wanted U.S. fugitive living in Lebanon. Detective Dennis Matejcici confirmed that he interviewed Yazeed's alleged fixer all the way in Greece about where Yazeed was living while evading the law. After this homicide detective's testimony, the state of Ohio formally rested their case in chief.

The defendant chose not to take the witness stand in an attempt to exonerate him for the aggravated murder charge in Rosemarie, his wife's poisoning death.
