This was just miles away from where she was abducted in the home she was working as a nanny. The State pointed the jury to Scott Nelson's movements the days Fulford went missing. On the stand was a city bus driver who confirmed that the defendant rode her bus just hours after Fulford was kidnapped.

The forensic pathologist who conducted the autopsy of Jennifer Fulford testified. Jurors learned the brutal fashion she lost her life by multiple stab wounds and suffocation. Dr. Joshua Stephany explained to the jury that while asphyxiation cannot be medically proven in an autopsy there was plenty of physical evidence to show Fulford died of suffocation.
