A CSI team led by a forensic anthropologist excavated and collected the victim's remains found buried in a burn pile on his property. Lead investigator Chris Shaw had more to say on how his team processed the massive crime scene. Police reenacted the fatal shooting in the home with a test fire on a dummy model.

Jurors watched test-firing police did inside the Farris home during their on-site investigation. The aim was to reenact the manner in which Gary Farris lost his life to fatal gunshots and then his dead body dragged to a burn pile to incinerated and then later buried. Prosecutors had former Lieutenant Chris Shaw walked the jury through on how Gary was fatally shot in his own home and the his remains covered up in a burn pile outside.

The State called in a fire battalion chief to the stand. Crime scene investigators who testified earlier recalled that the burn pile where Gary Farris' remains were found were so hot and burning they called the fire department to come out. Jurors then listened to testimony from a close neighbor to the Farris family. Just days before Gary's remains were found he went missing. His family began searching the property and the neighborhood for him.

The neighbor caught up in the middle of the Farris family drama continued his testimony. Terry Braswell recalled his close relationship with Melody and what the two of them were texting each other in the lead up to her husband's disappearance and eventual death. He told jurors he and her were so close he knew about her longtime affair she was having outside of her marriage. While Braswell admitted that he didn't get too involved in her affairs he did have enough details on what was happening.

Asphyxiation by cyanide was the final conclusion about Rosemarie Essa's death. Lead Detective Gary McKee was on the stand outlining how it took four weeks for her death to be classified as a homicide. McKee confirmed that in the days Yazeed was out of the country his two main mistresses were initially considered suspects in Rosemarie's death. This detective later answered questions under a probing cross-examination.

The lead detective in Rosemarie Essa's murder helped process her husband's extradition order since he was accused of being her killer. Detective Gary McKee told jurors that as soon as her death was determined to be a homicide, Yazeed was a suspect but he had fled the U.S. to go to Lebanon. So, where did Yazeed Essa get the solid cyanide that police alleged he used to kill his wife? Investigators looked for a link between the defendant and the poison, but they found nothing.

The lead detective testified that investigators had the murder weapon that killed Rosemarie Essa, cyanide-laced calcium pills. But he admitted to jurors under cross-examination that his team couldn't link them directly to the defendant, Yazeed Essa. Jurors then heard again the timeline of events in this case under the cross-examination of Detective McKee.

The Defense accused the lead detective in the case of making mistakes and leaving things out during the investigation into Rosemarie Essa's death. Jurors listened to details about the police's investigation into the defendant's affairs that went on while he was married to Rosemarie. Police initially had two of Yazeed's mistresses as potential suspects. Throughout this trial, the Defense even hinted to jurors that one of the women may be the real killer.

Nine calcium pills laced with cyanide poisoning was found in Rosemarie Essa's supplement bottle. On the stand in her husband's murder trial was the lead detective who eventually linked the source of the tampered pills to Yazeed just before he fled the country. Later, the lead detective, Sergeant Gary McKee, wrapped up his testimony to jurors.

Jurors learned more about Yazeed Essa's extramarital affairs he had going on while he was married to his wife. On the stand, was his longtime mistress, who was also married to another man. She admitted she and the defendant were intimate for months leading to Rosemarie's death. Marguerita Montanez told jurors where they would usually meet up to engage in sexual relations. She claimed that she had no clue that Yazeed's defense team would implicate her in Rosemarie's death.

Jurors listened to more testimony from the defendant's longtime mistress. Marguerita Montanez happened to be the same mistress the Defense team alluded to jurors could be the real killer in Rosemarie Essa's poisoning death. Montanez found herself caught in the middle of Rosemarie's murder and Yazeed fleeing U.S. authorities as a suspect... She testified that Yazeed never gave her gifts, trips or even went on dates.

The second woman in Yazeed Essa's love triangle testified that her affair with him was just casual, not an infatuation. Marguerita Montanez told jurors they both never had a future. Their affair went on for months leading up to his wife, Rosemarie's death. Next, cross-examination began on this longtime mistress. At the time, Rosemarie's death was ruled a homicide local authorities treated both of the defendant's two main mistresses as possible suspects to the murder.
