Crime scene investigators who testified earlier recalled that the burn pile where Gary Farris' remains were found were so hot and burning they called the fire department to come out. His family began searching the property and the neighborhood for him.

According his defense, Yazeed giving his wife calcium pills was not evidence that he was looking to fatally poison her.

Just like they did in their opening statements, the defense team gave a long closing arguments to jurors. They outlined what they believed were holes in the state's case that left enough reasonable doubt for the jury to acquit Yazeed for his alleged role in his wife's death.

Steven Bradley stressed the importance of keying on reasonable doubt, which he believed is littered all through the state's case accusing the defendant of killing Rosemarie, his wife of five years. Next, the lead prosecutor, Steven Dever, claimed in their rebuttal argument to jurors that his team began their case as a product tampering one only to tear it down to prove intentional murder.
