Angel and the Badman

Quirt Evans (John Wayne), a cowboy on the run, is injured when his horse stumbles near a Quaker family's land. The family takes him in as he regains his health, and he falls for their young daughter, Penelope (Gail Russell). As Quirt falls deeper in love and becomes accustomed to the family's peaceful ways, his violent past starts to catch up to him. Eventually he is forced to decide whether it is worth letting go of his turbulent former life for his future with Penelope.

Aging rancher George Washington McLintock (John Wayne), a wealthy self-made man, is forced to deal with numerous personal and professional problems. Undercover federal marshal John Carruthers (John Wayne) is suspected by the local sheriff, Jake (George Hayes), of stealing the town's payroll, but his suspicions are sidelined when young Betty Mason (Eleanor Hunt) announces that her father, an important businessman, has been murdered. Without him, supplies will not reach town, and homesteaders will starve. When town leader Malgrove (Edward Peil) offers to buy the locals out, John and Jake get suspicious, and uncover a land-grabbing conspiracy.

The Trail Beyond

Fresh out of college, American Rod Drew (John Wayne) is asked to assist in the search for missing people in Canada. Accompanied by Wabi (Noah Beery Jr.), his friend from school, Drew travels north, but quickly gets into a confrontation with a gang of French Canadian outlaws. When the bandits abduct the young Felice Newsome (Verna Hillie), it becomes apparent they're responsible for the other disappearances as well. Luckily, Drew and Wabi are there, determined to find and free the captives.

The congenial mayor, Rocky (Lew Kelly), convinces John to compete in a horse race against Drake (Douglas Cosgrove), the man who sold them the bum deal, for a coveted government contract in postal delivery.

Rio Diablo

Newlywed Benjamin Taber (Travis Tritt) is in town with his bride when a bank robbery goes awry and she disappears in a chaotic shootout. Determined to find her, Benjamin seeks out the help of crusty Quentin Leech (Kenny Rogers), a bounty hunter who has his own reasons for wanting to catch the outlaws. As they follow the group's trail, they receive help from several unlikely sources, including Flora Mae Pepper (Naomi Judd), the owner of a brothel that doubles as a safe haven.

This time around, singing cowboy Roy Rogers (Roy Rogers) is an insurance investigator sent to find a stash of money lifted from a company payroll. Portraying a performer on a showboat as an undercover guise, Roy meets Betty Weston (Dale Evans), the daughter of the alleged robber Sam Weston (Harry Shannon), who has recently escaped from prison. Together, Roy and Betty set out to prove her father was wrongly accused and track down the real criminal.

Hands Across the Border

In this musical Western, rival horse-breeders Jeff Adams (Joseph Crehan) and Brock Danvers (Onslow Stevens) are in a fierce competition over a lucrative government contract. But the hopes of the Adams family are dashed after Jeff dies while riding the tempestuous stallion Trigger. To the rescue, then, comes quintessential cowboy Roy Rogers (Roy Rogers), who saves the horse from vengeful slaughter and aims to train him in the hope of securing the contract on behalf of his departed friend.
