Finding Graceland
En route to Memphis, Tenn., on a solemn solo road trip, widower Byron Gruman (Johnathon Schaech) picks up a disarming hitchhiker who claims to be the late, great Elvis Presley (Harvey Keitel). As Gruman opens up about the loss of his wife, Beatrice (Gretchen Mol), in a tragic car accident, his bizarre passenger becomes a surprisingly powerful source of wisdom and comfort. The duo even picks up a Marylin Monroe impersonator, Ashley (Bridget Fonda), during the surreal pilgrimage to Graceland.
Stealing Harvard
John (Jason Lee) is a hard-working guy who only wants to marry his longtime girlfriend Elaine (Leslie Mann). Elaine and John have vowed to marry once they save $30,000 for their dream house. Things are fine until John's sister calls to remind him of his promise to pay his niece's tuition, which costs $29,829 and is due in two weeks! Hairdresser Nadine Hightower (Kim Basinger) wants to retrieve the risqué photos she once posed for, but when she visits the photographer (Jerry Stiller) at his office, he's murdered by an intruder. Nadine talks her estranged husband, Vernon (Jeff Bridges), into going along when she returns to the office, where they stumble across plans for a less than legal construction project. But when Vernon tries to turn the documents into a cash windfall, he and Nadine are pursued by goons with guns.
