Life Without Dick
After consulting a fortuneteller, painter Colleen (Sarah Jessica Parker) begins to suspect that her private-eye boyfriend, Dick (Johnny Knoxville), is cheating. When she comes home and finds him packing to leave her, Colleen accidentally kills him. Nervous Irish Mafia hit man Daniel (Harry Connick Jr.), who's been gunning for Dick, arrives shortly afterward and admits he has never successfully completed a job. Daniel proposes to take credit for the murder, and the odd couple fall in love.

Popular actress Megan Valentine (Jessica Simpson) is down on her luck: Her scheming accountant made off with her fortune, and her latest film flopped. She hopes to sign onto a major military-theme production but, first, must change her ditzy image to impress the studio making the movie. In order to prove herself, Megan enters the Marines and is sent to boot camp, where she butts heads with gruff Sgt. Louisa Morely (Vivica A. Fox) and struggles to adapt to life without luxury.

A law student transplanted to Southern California, Monroe Clark (C. Thomas Howell) serves eviction papers to Zack Barnes (Peter Horton), a former volleyball star. When Barnes learns that Monroe is a recreational player, he offers a few pointers. Monroe and his teammate, Wiley (Christopher Rydell), plan to compete in an upcoming tournament. But when Wiley is injured, Monroe partners with Zack. They're underdogs in a tough field of competitors, but Monroe and Zack feel they're up to the challenge.

A successful advertising executive, David Basner (Tom Hanks), is working on a project that could make him partner at his company. When his parents suddenly end their 36-year marriage, he is thrown into the role of caregiver, dealing with his delicate mother, Lorraine (Eva Marie Saint), and his combative father, Max (Jackie Gleason), who provides constant aggravation and bitter remarks. Fearing it would compromise his career, lawyer Andrew Beckett (Tom Hanks) hides his homosexuality and HIV status at a powerful Philadelphia law firm. But his secret is exposed when a colleague spots the illness's telltale lesions. The Juror
With his gangster boss (Tony Lo Bianco) on trial for murder, a mob thug known as "the Teacher" (Alec Baldwin) tells Annie Laird (Demi Moore) she must talk her fellow jurors into a not-guilty verdict, implying that he'll kill her son Oliver (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) if she fails. She manages to do this, but, when it becomes clear that the mobsters might want to silence her for good, she sends Oliver abroad and tries to gather evidence of the plot against her, setting up a final showdown.
No Mercy
After his partner is killed by the merciless crime boss Losado (Jeroen Krabbé), Chicago cop Eddie Jillette (Richard Gere) takes to New Orleans to settle the score. When he finds Losado's mistress, Michel (Kim Basinger), Eddie handcuffs himself to the girl and heads for the bayou in an effort to draw out his rival. And though squatting in a swamp handcuffed to another person is no recipe for romance, Eddie and Michel soon find themselves falling in love even as Losado is closing in.
