Devereaux's friend and second in command, Capt. Del Stewart (William Holden), is the only one aware of the surrender attempt. Devereaux returns home to a hero's welcome and is appointed a judge, yet his irrational and angry behavior continues, affecting his fianceé, Caroline (Ellen Drew), as well as Del.

Apaches, townsfolk, a Mexican bandit (Omar Sharif) and the cavalry follow a sheriff (Gregory Peck) to a mythical canyon of gold.
The Nebraskan
When his Indian assistant, Wingfoot (Maurice Jara), is accused of murdering a Sioux chief, Army scout Wade Harper (Phil Carey) brings him to Fort Kearney, Neb., where Colonel Markham (Regis Toomey) insists the young man has the right to a fair trial rather than handing him over to the Sioux. While in jail, Wingfoot is forced to escape with ruthless prisoner Reno Benton (Lee Van Cleef). Wade sets out with a small party to rescue his friend, with the Sioux right behind him.
Gun Fury
California-bound rancher Ben Warren (Rock Hudson) is shot and left for dead when a demented ex-Confederate, Frank Slayton (Phil Carey), kidnaps his Southern bride-to-be (Donna Reed). Revived, Ben sets out to rescue her. Along the way, he picks up Jess Burgess (Leo Gordon), a slighted former member of Slayton's gang, and American Indian local Johash (Pat Hogan), who has his own beef with the outlaws. Together they embark on a perilous chase toward the Mexican border to stop Slayton.
The Outlaw Stallion
A boy and his mother are kidnapped by outlaws after the boy's stallion kills the outlaw leader's mount.
Texas
Confederate soldiers Dan (William Holden) and Tod (Glenn Ford) look to Texas for opportunities when the war ends. Upon witnessing a stagecoach robbery, the close friends ambush the outlaws and confiscate the stolen funds. Tod wishes to return the money, but Dan wants to keep it. After a sheriff gives chase, each man runs off on his own. They are reunited after some time, but with Tod now an honest ranch hand and Dan an outlaw cattle rustler, the two do not know if their friendship can survive.
Al Jennings of Oklahoma
