Canada head coach Bev Priestman named a 25-player squad for the two games against Mexico and will have to get that roster down to 18 before the Olympics kick-off.
The defending champions begin their Olympic campaign on July 25 against New Zealand. The Mexican women’s team has only qualified for the Olympics once in 2004.
This will be the 29th meeting between the two sides. Canada has 23 wins, while Mexico has won twice, with four draws sprinkled in.
