Kansas and UCF both look to bounce back from a loss when they hit the court on Wednesday night in a Big 12 battle
The Kansas Jayhawks welcome the UCF Knights on Wednesday evening in a Big 12 volleyball tilt. The Jayhawks open up on conference play at home after losing their first match on Saturday against No. 9 Creighton. The loss to the Bluejays snapped a nine-match winning streak to start the season in which they had knocked off No. 6 Purdue and No. 24 Marquette. During their nine-match winning streak they had lost a total of three sets. They equaled that amount in the loss as they were swept 25-17, 25-19, 25-17. It was a tough match for the Jayhawks, especially at home. Wednesday, though, they will look to get back in the win column against a Knights team that has just two losses on the season.

The Knights opened their season with five straight wins, but have dropped two of their last four. They lost to Florida State on September 15th for their first loss and then lost again on Saturday in five sets to Maryland.
The Knights now sit at 7-2 on the season, but they have lost their lone match against a ranked team. Wednesday they will look to get that first win against a top-25 team when they play the 10th ranked Jayhawks.
Wednesday’s match is the first of two straight in the state of Kansas for the Knights as they will take on Kansas State on Friday in another Big 12 battle.
