Ohio State and Minnesota will close out regular season play on Friday as the teams meet in Big Ten volleyball action.
On Friday night, Ohio State will travel to Minneapolis to take on No. 16 Minnesota in the final Big Ten match of the 2024 season. The Buckeyes are currently tied for tenth place in the conference standings along with Indiana and Michigan as all three teams are sitting at a record of 7-12 in Big Ten play. Ohio State is 14-15 overall and will look to pull off an upset over the Golden Gophers on Friday night to end the regular season at .500 overall. The team’s last time on the court was played against No. 7 Wisconsin on the road and the Buckeyes forced a fifth set, but eventually fell to the Badgers. Grace Egan was a standout in the penultimate match with 22 kills and 10 digs for a double-double. Emily Londot and Rylee Rader were also in double-digit kills with 17 and 10, respectively. The defensive responsibilities were shared by Emmi Sellman who had a 15-dig performance and Olivia Hasbrook who added 13 digs to the stat sheet. If the Buckeyes bring that same level of play on Friday, there is a real shot at upsetting Minnesota.
