Texas looks to bounce back from a loss when it takes on Missouri in SEC college volleyball action
The Texas Longhorns welcome the Missouri Tigers to town on Friday night for an SEC volleyball battle. The Longhorns come into Friday looking to bounce back from their first conference loss of the season. They had won their first seven matches in SEC play, but got tripped up by Texas A&M in five sets on Wednesday. They won two of the first three sets against the Aggies, but couldn’t seal the deal as they lost the fourth set 25-21 and then the final set 18-16. They had beat the Aggies in four sets in their first ever SEC match, but couldn’t complete the sweep against their rival. The Longhorns now sit at 7-1 in the SEC and 12-4 overall. Despite the loss they still sit in first place in the conference standings, but are just one match up on both the Tigers and Kentucky. Friday they will look to solidify their spot at the top and send the Tigers home with a loss.

The Tigers have been playing well as they come into Friday on a six-match winning streak after dropping two straight conference matches. They fell to Texas A&M in five sets and Kentucky in straight sets to start SEC play, but they have been great since.
Sunday they continued their good pay when they held off Oklahoma to win in five sets. They won two of their first three sets, but fell in the fourth 26-24. They recovered, though, to win a tough fifth set 19-17.
The Tigers now sit at 15-5 overall and 6-2 in the SEC. The can pull into a first place tie with the Longhorns if they can pull off the upset on Friday night.
