Kansas State looks to keep up its recent dominance of Iowa State when it visits Hilton Coliseum on Sunday
Kansas State (6-11) is in the middle of the Big 12 Conference pack with a 4-4 record, good for seventh place, and on Sunday the Wildcats make the trip to Ames, Iowa, to take on Iowa State (9-9) at Hilton Coliseum. The Cyclones are 3-4 in the Big 12 and sit in ninth place. Kansas State has lost its last two matches while Iowa State comes off a loss on Wednesday. The Wildcats last played in the NCAA tournament in 2021 and are in their first season under coach Jason Mansfield. The Cyclones have made three straight tourney trips and are 379-210 in their 19th season with coach Christy Johnson-Lynch.

K-State comes off a 25-21, 22-25, 24-26, 19-25 loss at home to No. 21 Utah on Thursday night. Aliyah Carter finished with 27 kills for the Wildcats, while Meg Brown notched four blocks and Ella Larkin had 22 digs.
On Wednesday, Iowa State dropped a 21-25, 15-25, 25-23, 18-25 decision at No. 9 Kansas. Faith DeRonde put down 12 kills and Amiree Hendricks-Walker added 11 to go with seven blocks. Kiersten Schmitt had five blocks and Rachel Van Gorp made 20 digs, with Brooke Stonestreet adding 19.
Though trailing the all-time series 56-47, Kansas State has won the last five matches, including a 28-30, 23-25, 28-26, 25-17, 15-10 matchup at home on Oct. 5. Carter tops the squad with 268 kills, Liz Gregorski has 18 aces and Larkin owns 299 digs. Lilly Wachholz tops the Cyclones with 170 kills, Van Gorp’s 20 aces top the roster, Pam McCune has 13 blocks and Stonestreet leads the team with 277 digs.
