The Pride brings an overall record of 3-2-4 into Sunday’s conference matchup and will look to improve upon their 1-1 CAA record. On Thursday, the team traveled to take on Delaware, falling in a 2-1 defeat for its first conference loss of the season. The Blue Hens scored first with a goal in the 27th minute of play, but Mathilde Braithwaite tied things up just before half with her second goal of the year. With only ten minutes left to play, Delaware was able to break through the defense and score the go-ahead goal. Hofstra was unable to score the equalizer and had to head back to New York empty-handed.
When Towson and Hofstra met last season, the Tigers earned a 2-0 win at home to earn the program’s first regular season CAA title.
