No. 2 Arkansas will look to extend its win streak to eight games on Sunday with a win against visiting No. 23 South Carolina.

On Sunday afternoon, a top-25 matchup will take place as No. 2 Arkansas hosts No. 23 South Carolina in an SEC contest. Sunday’s game will certainly be an exciting one as the Gamecocks bring an undefeated overall record of 5-0-4 and a conference record of 2-0 so far. The team has won three straight games with the most recent being a 1-0 win over No. 20 Kentucky last weekend. The Cocks were scheduled to play No. 9 Mississippi State on Thursday, but the game was postponed due to poor field and weather conditions. Against the Wildcats, the lone goal of the game was scored by Katie Shea Collins in the 75th minute on a converted penalty kick to hand Kentucky its first loss of the season.

The Razorbacks are in a fight for the top spot in the nation, but are second only to the one team that handed them their only non-win of the year; Michigan State. Since that 2-2 draw, however, the team has won seven straight, with the most recent being a 2-0 win over Vanderbilt on the road.

The freshman class has been on fire for the Razorbacks and three of them were responsible for the win against the Commodores as Anaiyah Robinson and Jailyn Brownlee netted the goals and goalkeeper Keegan Smith recorded a career-high seven saves in the win. Robinson has now scored seven goals this season and now sits tied for 28th in the nation for goals scored.

The last time Arkansas and South Carolina met was during the 2022-2023 season and the game resulted in a 1-0 win for the Gamecocks on the road against then-No. 8 South Carolina.
