How to Watch Minnesota at Minnesota State: Women’s College Hockey Live Stream, TV Channel

WCHA play continues on Saturday afternoon for Minnesota and Minnesota State as the teams meet in Minneapolis.

On Saturday afternoon, No. 4 Minnesota and Minnesota State will meet for the second time in as many days as the teams play in a WCHA matchup at Mayo Clinic HSEC. The Mavericks bring a three game losing streak into Saturday’s matinee after dropping Friday night’s contest to the Golden Gophers 8-2. The team moves to 2-3-0 overall and 0-3-0 in conference play for a spot in last place in the standings. In last night’s game, Minnesota got on the board in the first minute of play with a goal from Natalie Mlynkova. From there, the Mavericks did their best, but could not hold off the offensive onslaught of the Minnesota offense. Another goal in the first period as well as three in the second and third periods was more than the team could fight back from. Taylor Otremba finally put the Mavericks on the board in the third period and Whitney Tuttle added another goal, but it was too little, too late and Minnesota State was forced to walk away empty-handed once again.

Despite a No. 4 ranking, the Golden Gophers have struggled in conference play so far this season. With last night’s win, the team improved to 1-3-1 in WCHA play and 5-3-1 overall. Minnesota has a long way to go if it plans to compete with No. 1 Wisconsin for that top spot in the standings. In last night’s win, the Golden Gophers saw seven different players score. Natalie Mlynkova scored twice for Minnesota while Madison Kaiser, Peyton Hemp, Abbey Murphy, Ella Huber, Lauren O’Hara and Josefin Bouveng each scored once.

The all-time record between these two teams is now 109-5-3 in Minnesota’s favor. The teams met seven times last season and the Mavericks picked up one 5-4 victory.
