No. 15 Northeastern (9-5-1) returns from a two-week break when it hosts No. 11 Boston College (10-5-0) at Matthews Arena in Boston on Saturday night. The Huskies have won their last eight meetings against the Eagles, including a three-game sweep last season. Northeastern had a five-year run of NCAA tournament appearances snapped last season, when it finished 25-11-3, and coach Dave Flint has a record of 355-156-46 in his 17th season. Boston College last played in the NCAA tourney in 2021 and was 15-14-7 a year ago. Coach Katie King-Crowley is 399-167-60 and is in her 18th season.

The Huskies improved to 7-3-1 with 23 points in the Hockey East standings with a 2-1 and 2-0 sweep of visiting Maine on Nov. 15-16. Skylar Irving leads Northeastern with seven goals and 14 points while Lily Shannon has five goals. Paige Taborski is 4-4-1 in nine starts with a .926 save percentage and 1.79 goals-against average.
The Eagles split a home-and-home with UConn on Nov. 22-23, winning at home 3-2 before taking a 2-1 road loss. They are 7-3-0 in Hockey East with 20 points. Julia Pellerin leads the club with six goals while Sammy Taber has five goals and a team-best 15 points. In net, Grace Campbell is 9-4-0 in 13 starts with a .914 save percentage and 2.49 GAA.
Northeastern is 86-47-7 all-time against Boston College, with the Eagles last win coming on Feb. 1, 2022, a 3-1 victory in the Women’s Beanpot Tournament semifinals at Matthews Arena.
