This weekend, twelve of the nation’s most talented collegiate squads will head to Oklahoma City to compete in the Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad at the Paycom Center. Five of the eight national semifinalists will participate in the second year of the event, including top-ranked Oklahoma, No. 2 LSU, No. 6 Cal, No. 4 Utah and Arkansas. Reigning ACC Champion No. 8 NC State will compete on Friday along with Big 12 newcomer No. 14 Arizona, ACC runner-up Clemson and No. 13 Michigan in the first session of the event. Ohio State and UCLA will also represent the Big Ten while Kentucky will round out the competitors, joining its fellow SEC foes.

The Wolverines started off the season with a meet against No. 12 Denver on Sunday, falling in a 195.700-194.975 defeat to move to 0-1. Michigan is the only team in the first session of the event with a loss, but the squad had quality performances led by Jahzara Ranger who earned the title on the beam with a 9.900. She also competed in all-around and scored a 38.500. The Wolfpack opened their season against Towson and earned a 195.825-194.425 win at home behind strong performances from Ashley Knight and Maddie Hall, Syniya Thomas and Chloe Negrete. Each of the four women claimed the top spot across various events.
The Wildcats come into Friday’s quad with one win under their belts after finishing first against Rutgers, Southern Utah and Wilberforce on Saturday with a score of 194.925. The team finished the second rotation in third place, but had moved into a tie for second by the third. The team solidified the win on Beam with a team score of 48.675, led by Aubrey Krohnfeldt’s 9.850 in her collegiate debut. The Tigers will open their season on Friday and will debut two freshmen in the quad meet in Oklahoma City. With strong veterans leading the pack, however, Clemson will be a team to watch this season.
