Western Carolina will travel to Knoxville to take on undefeated Tennessee in a non-conference matchup on Tuesday night.
On Tuesday night, Tennessee will host Western Carolina at the Food City Center as the teams meet for a non-conference contest. The Catamounts come into Tuesday’s game with a record of 5-2 so far with the only losses coming against No. 9 Oklahoma and Georgia State in a close 68-64 defeat. The team bounced back from that loss to beat Presbyterian handily in a 71-41 victory on Friday.
Jada Burton had a standout performance for the Catamounts with a career-high 25 points and also led on the boards with seven rebounds along with Zanoria Cruz. Tyia Beans also finished in double figures with 11 points while AC Carter and Chelsea Wooten each added 10 points to the scoreboard. The team shot a respectable 48 percent from the field and 25 percent from long range while going 13-16 from the foul line.

Redshirt sophomore guard Talaysia Cooper finished the game with a career-high 33 points and also led on the boards with nine rebounds to narrowly miss out on a double-double. Cooper is averaging 19 points per game to lead the team in scoring and Ruby Whitehorn is leading the team on the boards with an average of 7.8 rebounds per game.
