Pac-12 rivals no more, Utah and Washington reconnect at Alaska Airlines Arena in Seattle on Saturday night
A season ago, Utah (8-2) and Washington (7-3) were battling each other in the Pac-12 Conference. They renew acquaintances on Saturday night at Alaska Airlines Arena in Seattle for a non-conference matchup, with the Utes now in the Big 12 and the Huskies off to the Big Ten. Utah has won three in a row but is 0-1 in true road games so far while Washington comes off a loss and is 6-1 at home. The Utes finished 22-11 a season ago and played in their third straight NCAA tournament. The Huskies haven’t been to the tourney since 2017 and were 16-15 in 2023-24.

Utah watched an 18-point lead disappear in the second half on Sunday but a dagger 3-ball from Maty Wilke paved the way for a 79-76 victory over visiting Princeton. Gianna Kneepkens had 19 points and Mayè Tourè added 15 in the win. Kneepkens scores 16.9 points per game, Tourè nets 13.1 points a night, Reese Ross averages 9.6 points and 6.8 rebounds and Inês Vieira puts up 6.5 points and 5.9 assists per outing.
Washington lost its Big Ten debut on Sunday afternoon, falling to No. 1 UCLA 73-62. Elle Ladine led the offense with 19 points, with Dalayah Daniels adding 14. Ladine puts down 15.2 points per game, Sayvia Sellers scores 14.6 points a contest and Tayra Eke averages 5.3 points and 6.8 boards.
The Utes are 20-16 all-time in the series with the teams splitting road wins last season. Utah won in Seattle 83-65 on Feb. 2 and the Huskies left Salt Lake City with a 67-42 blowout on March 2. Gavin Peterson took over the head coaching duties for the Utes on Nov. 19 and is 5-1 since Lynne Roberts left to take over the WNBA’s Los Angeles Sparks. Tina Langley is 49-49 in her fourth season at Washington.
