Bueckers is building a resume as the best defensive player in the country, which makes her offense that much more impressive. Through two games she is averaging 17.5 points, 4.0 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 3.5 steals per game on 74-50-81 shooting splits.

She has another elite cast around her in the young trio of freshman Sarah Strong (15.0 points per game), sophomore Ashlynn Shade (12.5 points and 4.0 steals per game) and freshman Jana El Alfy (11.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per game).

This early season success has come with very familiar injury challenges. Seniors Azzi Fudd and Aubrey Griffin, junior Caroline Ducharme, and sophomore Ayanna Patterson have yet to suit up for the Huskies. Once the Huskies are back to full strength they could become the favorite to win the National Championship.
