Fast forward to this season where Clark spent all season setting records and the first three games of the tournament leads the Hawkeyes as a playmaker. She is averaging 29.3 points, 9.3 assists and 7.3 rebounds per game.
This season the Hawkeyes are unstoppable when Clark leans into her greatest asset – playmaking. In the 20 games this season where Clark has 10-plus assists the Hawkeyes are 19-1 overall. Clark has the ability to unlock an elite offense with Kate Martin and Hannah Stuelke that led the country in scoring this season at 91.9 points per game.
On the other side for the Tigers, they used their athleticism and defense to overwhelm the Hawkeyes last season. Reese leads a dynamic team that finished second in points per game (85.9) this season and plays inside-out. Aneesah Morrow, Flau’jae Johnson, Hailey Van Lith and freshman Mikaylah Williams give the Tigers the most dynamic starting five in women’s college basketball.
