Bethune-Cookman will hit the road for a game against Virginia in women’s non-conference basketball action.
On Sunday afternoon, Virginia will host Bethune-Cookman in Charlottesville as the Cavaliers look to earn their fourth straight win. The Wildcats bring an overall record of 2-3 into Sunday’s contest with the most recent game being a massive 117-34 win against Trinity Baptist.
Against the Eagles, six players finished in double figures with Kayla Clark leading the scoring efforts with 21 points. Clark also led on the boards with 12 rebounds to earn a double-double in the win. Chanelle McDonald and Asianae Nicholson each scored 18 points in the win, as well, as the team collectively shot 64 percent from the field and 50 percent from long range. The Wildcats will certainly need some work on the line as they only shot 7-18 for a percentage of 39, but with their shooting capabilities, improvement should not be difficult.
