Deja Kelly and the Oregon Ducks look for an upset against the No. 12 Baylor Bears on Sunday in women’s college basketball.
After opening up the season with a 52-point win, 12th ranked Baylor hits the road for its first test against Oregon in women’s college basketball on Sunday. The Bears are coming off a season where they peaked at fourth in the country and made the Sweet 16 for the first time under head coach Nicki Collen. This season they aim to build on that success as the preseason 12th ranked team in the country. Aaronette Vonleh joins a veteran, seasoned group after spending the last two seasons in Colorado. She is in a new conference and with a new team, but will take on a very familiar opponent in unranked Oregon here in the second game of the 2024-25 women’s college basketball season.

Vonleh started the season with 16 points and three rebounds in the win over Incarnate Wood. Seniors Jane Van Gytenbeek (10 points and five assists), Jada Walker (six points and 10 assists) and Sarah Walker (five points and four assists) also contributed in the win.
The Ducks won both of their games led by UNC transfer Deja Kelly who is averaging 15.5 points, 5.5 assists and 5.5 rebounds to lead the team in all three categories. Kelly is picking up where she left off with the Tar Heels last season and looks to help the Ducks pull off the momentous upset.
