Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky look to snap their seven-game losing streak against the Los Angeles Sparks today.
The Chicago Sky (11-22) have seen the wheels fall off since the Olympic Break losing seven straight games and eight of nine games overall. Rookie Angel Reese and company had nearly a full month off to energize, practice, rest and gear up for what appeared to be a sure fire playoff run, but that is now in question. Every game down the stretch is effectively a play-in game with three teams within two games of Chicago for the final playoff seed.
They take on a Los Angeles Sparks (7-26) team that is at the bottom of the standings but has the ability to play spoiler down the stretch of the regular season led by Dearica Hamby and their rookie standout, Rickea Jackson.

Despite the losing Reese continues to break records as a rookie with the most offensive rebounds and total rebounds in a season. Reese has seven more games starting today to add to her astounding rebounding records.
This is the third and final game of the season between the teams with Chicago winning the first two. The most recent win over Los Angeles was also the last time Chicago found itself in the win column before this seven game losing streak.
In the win Chicago came from behind in the fourth quarter to overcome a 10 point deficit in the 90-86 win. The rookie frontcourt of Reese and Kamilla Cardoso combined for 29 points and 25 rebounds, each finishing with a double-double. Those two will need big nights again to get Chicago back in the win column again today.
