Wales is fresh off a win against Ukraine in a World Cup Qualifying playoff match. Despite losing all of the statistical categories, Wales came away with the win and the World Cup birth on a Ukrainian own goal.
Wales played its first Nation’s League game against Poland in the group. Wales’s Jonny Williams opened up scoring in the 52 minutes putting the team up 1-0. Poland’s Jakub Kaminski tied it up in the 72nd minute and almost back-to-back Karol Swiderski took the lead for Poland in the 85th minute, which proved to be game-winning.
The Netherlands are 1-0 in the Nation’s League thus far after their opening against Belgium. The Dutch dominated and never looked back, winning 4-1.
Steven Bergwijn opened the scoring in the 40th minute before Memphis Depay scored in the 51st minute. The flood continued to pour in as Denzel Dumfries scored in the 61st minute, followed by Depay again in the 65th minute.
