Georgia has gone undefeated in its last six encounters with Albania as the two teams prepare to duke it out for UEFA Nations League honors on Monday.
The margins couldn’t be much tighter in Group B1 of this year’s UEFA Nations League, with just three points separating first from fourth as Georgia prepares to host Albania on Monday. Just one goal separated the pair in Tirana last month when Georgia came away with maximum spoils in what was the first competitive clash between these countries since June 2005. A win for Albania on Matchday 4 could mean all four teams in Group B1 end up level on points heading into the home stretch, with everything still to play for as the four contenders jostle for Nations League promotion.

Giorgi Kochorashvili came up with the goods in superb style when these teams last met in September, where his goal was all that stood between the two teams.
The race is far from done for either outfit, however, especially considering Albania has drawn four of its last six meetings with the Crusaders, albeit all four of those being friendlies.
Not only that, but the Red and Blacks have never managed to notch a competitive win over Georgia in its own backyard, with its last win in this rivalry coming at home in June 2005.

The pair each reigned as full-backs for two of Europe’s biggest clubs at the height of their powers but never shared a pitch and are making up for lost time as coaches.
