Neither French outfit Brest nor Bundesliga brute Bayer Leverkusen has yet to drop a point in the Champions League this season as two all-conquering contenders go to war on Wednesday. Despite being a newcomer at this level of European competition, Brest has wasted no time in making a success of its Champions League debut campaign after beating both Sturm Graz and Red Bull Salzburg. Leverkusen’s start has been over more impressive, however, after notching five goals against Feyenoord and AC Milan without conceding one thus far, with a chance to move to the top of the table in midweek.

The Nigerian ace is nonetheless expected to be in contention for the visit to the Stade du Roudourou in Guingamp, where Brest is hosting European fixtures this term.

The club’s usual home, the Stade Francis-Le Ble, was deemed unfit for UEFA purposes as its falls way short of guidelines, not that it’s affected Brest’s form in Europe so far this campaign.

    Regional restrictions may apply.
