The Paris Masters continues on Wednesday in ATP tennis action.
AccorHotels Arena is set to continue hosting the 2024 Paris Masters on Wednesday in ATP tennis action. The competition is the last of the top nine tournaments to be held indoors. The surface used to be one of the fastest courts in the world, which rewarded a more attacking style of tennis. However, since 2011, the courts in Bercy have followed the general slow down of most courts on the tour. In the history of the tournament, Ilie Nâstase, Andre Agassi, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic are the only singles players to have won both Parisian tournaments (Bercy and the French Open). Furthermore, Nâstase, Agassi and Djokovic are the only three to win the double in a single season, with the Serbian legend doing so twice. Djokovic is also the most successful singles player in the competition’s history with seven titles, and is the only player to have ever defended the title (2013-15).

Djokovic will be unable to defend his title in Paris this year, however, having to withdrawn from the tournament a few days before its start. The Serbian didn’t give a specific reason for the decision in his announcement about it.
Instead, he simply apologized to those who were excited to watch him play. Djokovic is also not mathematically qualified for the ATP Finals, meaning not playing in the French capital puts his place at risk.
The other two high profile players to withdraw from the 2024 Paris Masters are American Sebastian Korda and Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, both due to injury.
Regional restrictions may apply.
