Unbeaten sides face off as Empoli aims for an upset against visiting Juventus
Tied atop the Serie A table, Juventus hits the road for the second time this season as it looks for its seventh win in eight trips to Carlo Castellani as unbeaten Empoli looks for its first home win of the new season. Juventus opened the 2024-25 campaign with consecutive 3-0 wins over Como and Hellas Verona before a scoreless draw at home against AS Roma while Empoli picked up a 2-1 win at Roma in between draws with Bologna and Monza in August. Empoli survived relegation last season, finishing one point above Frosinone and has not finished better than 10th in Serie A since 2014-15.

Juventus is led by Serbian forward Dušan Vlahović who has tallied a pair of goals in the first three matches, both coming in the last away match at Verona. Vlahović scored a career-high 16 goals with Juventus last season and has 35 goals for The Zebras since joining the club on his 22nd birthday in January of 2022 after having a breakout campaign with Fiorentina in 2021 where he tallied 21 goals across all competitions winning the Serie A Best Young Player award.
Empoli has not fared well against Juventus winning just two of the last 21 meetings including one of the last 11 at home.
Ghana forward Emmanuel Gyasi leads Empoli with two goals on the season having scored a goal in his last two matches. Gyasi spent five seasons with Spezia helping the club earn promotion from Serie B in 2020 scoring 12 goals over his final three seasons with the club.
