Tyrese Haliburton leads the Indiana Pacers against Jalen Green and the Houston Rockets for the first time this season on Wednesday.
The Houston Rockets (10-5) watched their five-game winning streak come to end in the final seconds on Monday. Now they look to start a new streak at home on Wednesday against an Eastern Conference foe in the Indiana Pacers (6-8). While Houston has found a rhythm this season and is playing very good basketball, Indiana continues to struggle with up-and-down play. The once historic offense is in the middle of the pack this season as All-NBA star Tyrese Haliburton is off to his worst start in an Indiana uniform. He will have his hands full against the third-best scoring defense this season in Houston, who has allowed 107 points or less in six straight games.

Houston has really found its footing on the defensive end this season, allowing more than 110 points just twice. Head coach Ime Udoka has Houston playing consistent defense, forcing teams to play one-on-one, contesting shots and practically eliminating the three-point line for opponents.
For Indiana the path to getting on track this season goes through Haliburton. This season Haliburton has registered single-digit assist performances in 50 percent of his games. Last season that only happened in 41 percent of his games.
Haliburton is also off to by far his worst shooting season with 38-29-81 spits. With Haliburton struggling to be the elite playmaker he has been the past two seasons and not impacting the game as a shooter, Indiana has fallen to the middle of the pack offensively and is one of the bottom five defenses in the league. That’s not a combination that will get Indiana back to the Eastern Conference Finals this season.
