Last week, the LAFC picked up another win against the Earthquakes 3-2. LAFC scored in the first 10 minutes with a penalty kick from Cristian Arango. The club scored again in the 13th minute on a goal from Ryan Hollingshead.
Jeremy Ebobisse scored for San Jose in the 16th and the 31st to bring it back to even. However, Brian Rodriguez scored in the 47th minute to win the game for LAFC.
The Sounders, a perennially good team, are the No. 7 team in the conference. They are 6-1-6 through 13 games with 19 points and a positive-three-goal differential. They are four points behind Nashville SC and the Galaxy for the No. 5 spot.
Seattle was also able to secure a win for the club last week. It won 4-0 against the Whitecaps. Nicolás Lodeiro scored in the 5th minute, Raúl Ruidíaz scored in the 28th and 54th minute then Alex Roldan scored in the 89th minute.
