Manchester United hopes to extend a streak of five straight wins over Everton when the Toffees visit Old Trafford on Sunday.
Almost three years have passed since Everton last avoided defeat against Manchester United, which Ruben Amorim is hoping bodes well for his chances as he makes his domestic debut at Old Trafford on Sunday. The new manager bagged his first United win in midweek but is seeking another landmark victory when he suits up at the Theater of Dreams for the first time in the Premier League. Everton sits 15th in the table as things stand and is at risk of slipping into the relegation zone with defeat this weekend, while United could soar as high as sixth if it bags three points.

Things didn’t go to plan for Amorim in his first outing as United boss as the Red Devils were held to a 1-1 draw at Ipswich Town after Marcus Rashford put them ahead in less than two minutes.
However, the Portuguese got his first win at the helm after beating Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt 3-2 in the Europa League on Thursday, where Rasmus Hojlund was involved in all three of the host’s goals:
The Denmark frontman could have a big role to play in Amorim’s plans after Swedish striker Viktor Gyokeres excelled under his command at previous club Sporting CP.
Having struggled for consistent form in attack during the early stages of this season, United has now scored three goals or more in three of its last six outings, all of which were at Old Trafford.
That bodes well for the club as it looks to seal a fourth straight home win over Everton, who has failed to score in each of its last two trips to the Theater of Dreams.
Former United midfielder James Garner will be missing for the trip back to Manchester, as will Everton team-mates Armando Broja, Seamus Coleman, Tim Iroegbunam and Youssef Chermiti.
Amorim has been working with a skeleton crew in defense since he arrived at Old Trafford and will still be without Leny Yoro and Victor Lindelof, while Harry Maguire is still a doubt to be fit for Sunday.
