In his second season with Newcastle United, Harvey Barnes leads the club with three goals on the young season with all three scores coming in his last four appearances. The 26-year-old midfielder scored a career-high 13 goals with Leicester City in 2022-23 before inking a five-year deal with Newcastle in July of 2023. Barnes played in only 21 matches for The Magpies last season scoring five goals.
Everton forwards Dwight McNeil and Dominic Calver-Lewin have combined for five of The Toffees seven goals this season with McNeil netting both of Everton’s goals in the second half of last Saturday’s comeback win over Crystal Palace. McNeil’s three goals equals his scoring output from last season where he played in 35 matches and is on pace to surpass his career-best seven goals scored in 2022-23.
Newcastle has dominated this series of late winning five of the last eight fixtures, but Everton has won two of the last three at Goodison Park including a 3-0 victory over Newcastle in December where all three goals came after the 79th minute.
