Winless Everton looks for first Premier League win at Aston Villa since 2016
Hovering above relegation for consecutive seasons, Everton FC has started the 2024-25 English Premier League campaign on a winless streak that has seen The Toffees outscored 10-2 and today return to the pitch for the first time since blowing an 0-2 lead over AFC Bournemouth in late August in a venue it has not won a league match at in eight years as Aston Villa welcomes Everton inside Villa Park in Birmingham. Aston Villa has already tallied wins against West Ham United and Leicester City in the season’s first month but have not won a home match in Premier League play since a 3-1 victory over Bournemouth in April, a span of three matches.
