Johns will pull triple duty in the Atlanta Open with his singles matches as well as doubles and mixed doubles. He is a part of the second seeded team in men’s doubles with his brother Collin Johns who have 31 doubles titles together. Then in mixed doubles he joins Waters as the top-seeded team where they also have 31 titles together.

The journey for Johns in men’s singles starts with 29th seeded Noe Khlif in men’s doubles against the 27th seeded team of Alex Neumann and Grayson Goldin, then in mixed doubles against the 30th seeded team of Daniel De La Rosa and Tamaryn Emmrich. In singles Johns earned a bye into the round of 32, but has already taken the court in mixed doubles, winning his first match against the team of Tanner Tomassi and Samantha Greenhunt.

Pickleball has featured the John’s brothers and Water’s sisters as stars for years. Now, the next generation of great pickleball players are on their way here in the Atlanta Open and leading into the future of the sport.
